About Me

Alaina is a senior at Metro Christian Academy in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She was born February 21, 1991 and raised in Tulsa and has been singing and performing for many years.

When Alaina was seven years old, she was in a musical production which performed in Vienna, Austria. Also, she performed at the Traditional American Country Music Festival and the United Nations.

At the age of nine, she opened for Louise Mandrell.  That same year, she sang the National Anthem at the NRA Annual Convention in Kansas City and was introduced by Charleton Heston.

She has participated in many state and national singing competitions throughout the years and has over fifty first place trophies and awards to her credit.  Alaina was a finalist in The Branson Idol competition in 2005.  In 2006, she won first place in the “Best in the Country” competition held in Claremore, OK.  In February 2007, Alaina and her sister, Brittney, won first place in the “My Big Break” competition held in Tulsa.  They performed a duet singing “Does He Love You” originally sung by Reba McEntire and Linda Davis.  Also in 2007, Alaina entered the “Reasors Rising Star” competition and won first place and got to sing with Thomas Martinez and his band at Country Fever. Later that year, Alaina competed in “2007 Darryl Starbird’s Car’s and Star’s Idol”.  She won first place and took home the grand prize of an all expense paid trip to the next American Idol audition for 2008.

In August 2007, Alaina traveled to Dallas, Texas to audition for American Idol.  Over 12,500 auditioned in Dallas alone.  Alaina was one of twenty-four selected to move on to Hollywood.  She made it through the Hollywood week and was in the Top 50 then down to the Top 24.  She made it to the Top 10 girls before she was cut.  With over 100,000 people that originally auditioned, the judges must have seen something in Alaina to put her in the Top 12 girls.  She said that it was the most exciting time ever and is one of the best experiences she has ever had.

A
laina is now seventeen years old.  She has and continues to sing at churches, festivals, fairs, sporting events, oprys, company parties, political fund-raisers, weddings, and many other events.

Country music has always been a part of her life and it is a big part of who she is.  Persistence is what has brought her to where she is right now.  Inspired by Martina McBride, Patsy Cline, and Reba McEntire, she has always felt she was meant to sing country music.  It is her dream to someday be a professional recording artist.
